The Obscure Cache is a small, Canadian-owned business based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, offering a carefully curated collection of oddities, oddity and occult inspired jewelry, upcycled vintage troll dolls, and horror-inspired fine art prints.
Founded in 2022 by Kim, a disabled maker and lifelong lover of the weird and wonderful, The Obscure Cache began as a way to stay creative, connected, and engaged while navigating life on disability. Inspired by the idea of a dragon’s hoard or a hidden trove of oddities, The Obscure Cache was built to feel like a collection of unique, unexpected finds and treasures. What started as a small Etsy shop featuring tiny specimen vials, unique crystals, and handcrafted jewelry quickly grew into something much more.
In 2024 as Kim’s health began to improve we decided to do our first market, The Halifax Oddities Show. This is also when Adam joined the business with his unique horror inspired fine art prints. Within a year, largely due to the tariff situation in the US, our primary focus shifted from Etsy to doing in person local markets, participating in 12 markets in 2025.
The Obscure Cache continues to grow and evolve, shaped by creativity, curiosity, and a love for the beautifully obscure. This year we plan to continue participating in local markets such as the Halifax Oddities Show, Mystic Moon Faires, Witches Markets and more! (For upcoming events click here)
